What 2023 Should Bring to Us | ✉️ #10
Hey! 👋
2023 is here and many new things are going to make explode our brains. We are going to see many things that will change our lives forever and many that won't be used anymore. Here at mkdev, we are always trying to be close to the new technologies and those are the ones that we think will be key in this 2023.
Artificial Intelligence (AI). Today is everywhere, and maybe even in the Shakira and Bizarrap video (maybe ChatGPT made the lyrics). The progress in AI technology in recent years has been close to a miracle and we can expect to see even more advancements in the coming years. We're talking about machines that can think and learn like humans, and perform a wide range of tasks with greater accuracy and efficiency. Imagine a world where your personal AI assistant can help you with everything from scheduling appointments to ordering groceries. The possibilities are endless!
Quantum Computing. I remember many years people were talking about Quantum technologies as something for the future, and today it is here. This technology is set to change the game in so many ways. Quantum computers can perform certain types of calculations much faster than classical computers, which means we'll be able to solve problems that were previously thought to be impossible. This technology has the potential to revolutionize fields such as cryptography, drug discovery, and financial modeling. Imagine having the ability to decrypt complex codes in seconds, or finding new ways to cure diseases faster. It's mind-blowing!
Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR). This could be the one that fails because of this bad publicity to Meta and the multiverse that they wanted to create but is another area that is set to explode in 2023. The ability to experience digital content in a more immersive and interactive way has the potential to revolutionize fields such as gaming, entertainment, education, and healthcare. Imagine being able to attend a concert or visit a museum from the comfort of your own home, or learn a new skill through an interactive VR experience. The possibilities are endless!
Renewable Energy. The advancements in renewable energy technology in 2023 are set to make a big impact on the environment. Renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, are able to generate electricity without producing greenhouse gas emissions. And not only in energy but in recycle of materials like plastics (yesterday for example was watching a video where in Nairobi a little company makes bricks with bottles of plastic).
2023 is set to be a year of big technological advancements and in mkdev we are going to be with you on all this path, learning with you.

Are we going to lose our jobs because of ChatGPT? Chat GPT is here, and it is not going to disappear but this IA tool is going to make all the developers, DevOps, and whatever other IT people lose their jobs. It is crazy good.
GKE Autopilot: Forget About Your Kubernetes Nodes. In many cases Kubernetes is a good option, but all the infrastructure that's around this software sometimes is an overhead. GKE Autopilot will take control of both control plane and the workers and you will only need to take care of your pods and workloads.
